Universality of Arts Night post-poned

I am terribly sorry for the inconvenience caused. After discussing among ourselves in our meeting, we are sad to announce that Universality of Arts Night will be postponed to next Saturday (16 of August 2008) and the time schedule is changed to 5.00 to 8.00 (once again, time may vary.)

Another bad news that we will be announcing is the access to this event. After some arguments between us and the teacher's board, the teachers had decided to only allow students of SMK Seri Mutiara to enter the event while the parents and friends (non-Seri Mutiara students) will not be able to join us in this event.

However, some discussions have been made and we have decided to allow students to wear jeans with terms and conditions applied:
  1. Jeans must not have any logos, symbols or brand name on it.
  2. Jeans must not have any elements of hip-hop, punk etc etc.

Universality Of Arts Night

First of all, I'm sorry for not frequently updating this blog, we were being held back by school activities especially this event that we spend most of our precious time to plan it. And finally, we're proud to announce that this Saturday night (9th of August 2008), we will have our very first cultural night event in our school entitled,

UNIVERSALITY OF ARTS NIGHT


Like what you've read from above, the price for the ticket is:

RM10.00
(Applied to people aged 12 and above.)
RM7.00
(Applied to people from age 11 to 4.)
Free admittance
(Applied to children age 3 and below.)

Yes, your eyes did not deceive you; FREE ADMITTANCE for children age 3 and below. However, there is one condition for this service that is; parents or guardians will have to take responsibility for their children's seatings due to difficulties in getting chairs for the night.

The venue for this event is in our very own school, S.M.K. Seri Mutiara's hall.


The estimated time for this event is from 7.00 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. (ending time of this event might be vary.)

There will be a dress code for the night as mentioned above. Here are the following details:


Everyone is urged to wear of one of the following choices given:
Traditionally
OR
Formally

No other exceptions are allowed. Those who failed to comply with this will not be allowed to enter the school compound by the Ushers stationed there.

TRADITIONALLY
To those who wish to wear traditional clothing, here are the rules to it;

For BOYS and GIRLS
  1. Attire must be appropriate and must not have any elements of hip-hops, punks etc etc.
  2. Attire must be in complete set. (e.g. To those who are wearing their respective traditional clothing, their attire must include both upper and bottom attire.)
  3. Attire must not be too tight or too loose. In other words, attires that are too revealing.
FORMALLY
To those who favor formal wearing instead of traditional, here are the rules that everyone should take in mind.

For BOYS
If you prefer wearing formal than traditional, go ahead. But you will have to have all those mentioned at the sample picture above; Long or short sleeved shirt and Slacks trousers. Neckties and coats are optional. The rules are the same as mentioned above at the Traditional clothing section.

For GIRLS
Once again, the same rules are applied here as well. So please try and follow the rules otherwise we will not be responsible for any inconveniences caused.

Foods will be provided there and there are lots of presentations that will be presented by students and guests. The presentations are:
  1. Merdeka Dance
  2. Chinese Dance
  3. Traditional Indian music instrument presentation
  4. Drama
  5. Break-dancing
and the list goes on and on.
